Teaching

İzem teaches piano at Grace Music School on Long Island, New York, and serves as a Teaching Assistant in the piano department of Stony Brook University. Her teaching draws on the traditions she was formed in — the Bashkirov school's insistence on sound and honesty, and a chamber musician's conviction that listening comes before playing.

She welcomes inquiries from students of all levels — in person on Long Island or online — in English, Turkish, and Spanish.
